Consolidated Properties’ expert management team is led by Managing Director Wayne Rex, who brings to the role more than two decades’ experience in establishing blue-chip development pipelines and strategic land banks in Australia and internationally.

In this role, he is supported by a network of highly-skilled, specialist Project Partners based in key locations across Australia’s eastern seaboard.

Wayne Rex was appointed Managing Director in November 2008 following the appointment of the group’s co-founder and long-standing Managing Director, Don O’Rorke, to Chairman of the Board. Don O’Rorke also sits on the Trinity Limited Board of Directors, following its acquisition of Consolidated Properties in June 2006.

Co-founder Steve Tyson continues to actively develop the business, focusing on Consolidated Properties’ expansion into the Victorian market.

Since the mid-1980s, Consolidated Properties has embarked on a program of solid, consistent growth. This has resulted in the establishment of four offices in strategic locations along Australia’s eastern seaboard and a completed project portfolio of over 100 developments.

The company remains focused on building its workbook of diversified projects, with a long term end value of approximately $2 billion, through strategic acquisitions.

CPG Senior Management Team

• Don O’Rorke – Chairman

  Don O’Rorke is the Chairman of Consolidated Properties and a Director and major shareholder of Trinity Group.  He has over 25 years’ experience in the property industry across all sectors – commercial, industrial, retail and residential.
  
  A co-founder of the Consolidated Properties business with Steve Tyson, Don has led the group to become a market leader within the Queensland property market and is now focused on its expansion down the East coast.
  
  Don has previously held positions with the CM Group, as a Development Manager responsible for the complete administration of a number of major Brisbane developments, and was Leasing Manager with Richard Ellis Ray White (now CBRE).
  
  In 2005, Don established Domain Resorts, a unit and resort management company with beach and waterside resorts in Queensland and northern New South Wales as an extension to the CPG service offering.  Now an independent company, he has remained a Director.
  
  Don has a degree in Business Management.  He is a past Director of Brisbane Marketing and was chair of its audit committee.  He is also a former President of the Queensland Division of the Property Council of Australia, having served on the Council for 10 years, and is currently Chair of the Urban Planning and Sustainability Committee.  Don was also previously a Director of the Wesley Research Institute.  An avid surfer, he is also a director of Surfing Australia.

• Steve Tyson – Project Partner

  Steve Tyson is a co-founder of Consolidated Properties.  Since taking financial control of CPG in the mid-1980’s, Steve and Don have seen the Group develop over 100 projects with an approximate total value approaching $1 billion.  Over the past four years, Steve has been focussing on the group’s expansion into the Victorian property market.
  
  Steve’s expertise is in running projects from conception through to completion in all market sectors, particularly along the eastern seaboard.  He has over 30 years experience in the property industry and has previously held senior positions with Richard Ellis.
  
  A Fellow of the Australian Property Institute, Steve has previously served as a Councillor and Vice President of the organisation for 10 years.
  
  Steve also enjoys a parallel career in music and has toured with his band numerous times in Europe and played guitar on the world stage.

• Neil McEvoy – General Manager – Project Development

  Neil commenced work with Consolidated Properties in September 2000 as Development Manager.  He is responsible for the delivery of all projects undertaken by the company, from inception to completion including the management of internal and external development teams.
  
  Neil has over 25 years experience in the property industry.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

• Andi Avdyl – National Leasing Manager

  Andi joined Consolidated Properties Group in April 2007 after 21 years with CB Richard Ellis as Senior Director of Retail. 

  Andi has been successfully involved in a broad spectrum of retail property throughout Queensland, including over 1,500 retail leases, approximately 60 retail projects, and the sale of over 50 retail properties.
